Virtus.pro announced the inactivation of Marek «YEKINDAR» Galinskis and Timur «buster» Tulepov, as well as the readiness to consider transfer offers for these players. This decision did not come as a surprise, as in recent months the team has not shown the best results.
This is largely due to the political situation caused by the conflict in Ukraine. In particular, YEKINDAR has previously spoken out about the difficulties and pressure he faced due to the fact that, as a cybersports player from Latvia, he played for a team believed to be linked to the Russian state. Virtus.pro general manager Sergey Glamazda also mentioned this in a recent interview. In addition, the team has had to play as Outsiders at recent events due to sanctions-related restrictions.
Regarding buster's departure from the active roster, a comment published on the team's official website mentions that «he needs new challenges, while we need fresh ideas for the game».
It
is still unclear who will replace these two players. However, new announcements should be expected soon, as the same announcement indicates that the team has already made a decision on what the roster will be in the near future.
