Xyp9x will return to the active roster of Astralis

Danish Astralis team officials said Andreas «Xyp9x» Høislet will return to the active roster in October after a four-month hiatus. The twenty-five year old has already started practicing with the rest of the team, but will not yet be participating in the DreamHack Open Fall RMR tournament. Astralis will compete in this event with the same roster that recently completed participation in the twelfth season of the ESL Pro League.

Team coach Danny «zonic» Sorensen has not yet revealed what the lineup for the BLAST Premier Fall Series will look like, but confirmed that Xyp9x will be included. This tournament will be held from October 29 to November 4.

Recall that Andreas Häusleth decided to take a break from performing at the end of May due to symptoms of fatigue and burnout. Another teammate, Lucas «gla1ve» Rossander, made the same decision. The Astralis changed the lineup several times over the past few months, eventually forming a seven-man roster. Fans of the team had different reactions to this: some thought it was a forward-thinking decision that would allow the team to be more flexible, while others felt that the new players were unlikely to be able to fully prove themselves. In the end, Astralis managed to put together a lineup that scored several consecutive wins and won the ESL Pro League Season 12 grand finals.
