The regional tournaments are now open to teams that either receive a direct invitation through success at other events and participation in previous majors, or those who qualify through open qualification. Starting in 2023, some teams will have the option to skip the open qualifiers and go straight to the closed stage based on achievements in tournaments hosted by Valve and other organizers.
