Canadian eSports player Russell «Twistzz» Van Dulken recently gave an interview to HLTV, in which he revealed that he expects to return to the top level again this coming year. Twistzzzz was one of the most notable cybersports players in 2019 , with one of his episodes making the list of the year's top highlites and himself ranked ninth in the top players. Liquid, which he was playing for at the time, was rising to the top of the list of top teams.
However, 2020 proved to be a difficult year for it. Liquid managed to win only one event, and in many other tournaments the team could not even reach the finals. As a result, after the IEM Global Challenge, Russell decided to leave the team. In many ways he was not satisfied with the atmosphere in the team: for example, in the middle of the year there were rumors that Twistzz may be replaced by another player, and he was not satisfied that such decisions are discussed behind the back of the participants. At the same time, the player believes that his time at Liquid left him with good memories.
Twistzz also noted that he sees no point in continuing his career in North America. He expects to join one of the European teams and play in Europe for the next few years. It is possible that he will reach an agreement with FaZe in the near future.
