Team Spirit has announced that all lineups and staff of the organization are moving to Belgrade, Serbia. This decision was made in connection with the conflict between Russia and Ukraine: the organization's team includes personnel from both countries, and it is extremely difficult to ensure interaction under the current conditions.
Commenting on the change of the team's location, the TeamSpirit management emphasizes that accessibility and openness have always been the main principles of cybersport, as many teams are made up of players of different nationalities and do not set themselves the task of representing a particular country. At the same time, Team Spirit will continue to communicate with the audience in Russian, as the decision to move was made for the well-being of the players and has no intention of distancing itself from the Russian-speaking community.
A bootcamp has already been organized in the team's new office in Belgrade. The closest appearance of Team Spirit's CS: GO lineup, which currently includes five players from Russia, will be at the European RMR tournament at the end of April.
Several other Russian teams have faced restrictions in recent weeks. In particular, Virtus.pro and Gambit were forced to play at ESL Pro League Season 15 under neutral names.
