Even in the design of the most ordinary looking skins you can find interesting details, if you look closely. Often skinmakers decorate their creations with inscriptions, the meaning of which is not clear at first glance or contains a reference to some popular theme. That said, they are not limited to the English language and the alphabet, which means it will take some effort to solve the riddle. In the selection below – another batch of skins with inscriptions that hide additional meanings.
AUG Akihabara Accept
If you ask players which skins have brightly colored inscriptions, many of the first to remember will be AUG Akihabara Accept. This skin was named after a trendy Japanese neighborhood, and the translations of the inscriptions are quite in line with its idea. On its body, for example, appear such phrases in Japanese: «Best yakitori recipe», «Newest skins – which are cooler?» and «K/D sufficient?».
Five-SeveN Kami
.Another skin that is literally mottled with the inscriptions – is Five-SeveN Kami. In fact, the texture superimposed on the body of the weapon – is a comic strip drawn by the skin author. Its plot, which makes sense, is centered around Counter-Strike. In the drawings, you can see phrases like «Counter-terrorists must prevent the bomb from being placed or disarm it», «The flash is blinding for a second», as well as «HUGE» and «This comic doesn't make any sense, I wrote just to have something in Japanese».
Tec-9Jambiya
But interesting captions can be a lot less obvious. An example is – Tec-9 Jambiya. You can see white dashes on the back of the case, which almost blend in with the pattern. But these symbols are actually – designations for numbers in Arabic that add up to 7355608 – bomb code in CS:GO.
AK-47 Wasteland Rebel
Inscriptions similar to Arabic script can be seen on the body of AK-47 Wasteland Rebel, but in fact it is not so difficult to decipher them. In fact, it's just regular numerals and Latin, just stylized to look like ligature. The meaning is also simple to understand: «1337 CREW».
M4A1-SMaster Piece
.It also happens that the inscription is literally hidden in plain sight. The M4A1-S Master Piece case is decorated with brightly colored graffiti that looks like an abstract pattern. However, if you look closely, you can make out letters on it that add up to an orange and yellow word SILENCE – «Silence». Great for weapons with a silencer.
AWP The Prince
Here is an example of how the lettering is matched to the sophisticated design of the weapon itself. AWP The Prince is decorated with an antique-style engraving, which along with ornamentation includes the following Latin text: «Pax tibi Marce, Evangelista meus» - «Peace be with you Mark, my evangelist». A book with these words is held by a sculpture of the Lion of St. Mark – one of the symbols of Venice.
