The cost of any game item in CS:GO directly depends on its rarity. It's no wonder that souvenir weapons are often at the top of the tops in terms of price. You can only get it for a limited time from special souvenir sets that are only available during the majors. Previously, they could be dropped randomly to anyone watching matches, but starting with StarLadder Berlin 2019 they can be obtained for tokens, which are purchased in the in-game store or given for completing tasks.
All souvenir items are divided into several collections, each of which corresponds to a map included in the active mapple. For example, Nuke, Mirage, Dust2, Vertigo, Ancient, Overpass and Inferno souvenir cases were available during IEM Rio 2022. If the list of tournament cards changes, some of the collections may become unavailable.
What does the cost of a souvenir skin depend on
This is why the souvenir version of the AWP Dragon Lore skin has become so rare. It's part of the Cobblestone collection, and this card was last used at tournaments in 2018. Therefore, the number of souvenir kits on the market is limited, their cost is high, and the probability of a Dragon Lore AWP falling out of them is still very low.
In addition, there are other factors that affect the cost of the skin. Any skin that drops out of the souvenir set has four gold stickers on it from the start. They feature:
• symbols of the teams that played in the match to which the set is linked;
• tournament symbol;
• autograph of one of the players.
Which stickers you get can have a significant impact on the cost of the skin. For example, if an AWP has a sticker signed by a top sniper such as s1mple, such a skin will be valued higher than using someone else on the team. Skins with the symbol of a major league grand final can cost more than those with the emblems of other playoff games. The location of the stickers on the gun body can also have an impact.

The likelihood of all these factors coming together is extremely low, and some souvenir skins are literally counted on the market. For example, the Dragon Lore AWP as «Battle-hardened» is known in only 13 copies, and one was sold from us.
