Allan «Rejin» Petersen, who served as mousesports coach, will join the ranks of cyber athletes forced to leave their teams due to the use «of a coaching bug». The management of mousesports decided that they would stop cooperating with him after ESIC imposed a ban of almost 20 months. Previously, Rejin publicly admitted in early September that he used the bug multiple times from 2017-2019 when he was the coach of the Tricked team. A total of seven violations on his part were confirmed. The 19.8-month ban was imposed given that Allan pleaded guilty and assisted in the investigation – otherwise the disqualification could have been longer.
Afterwards, mousesports issued a statement saying that the principles of fair play are a core value for the team, and therefore they will stop cooperating with Rejin, including after the ban expires.
Cybersports organizations are reacting to the development of the situation with «coaching bug» differently. Some of them also decide to stop cooperating with delinquent cyber athletes, while others, on the contrary, provide them with support. The latter included teams such as OG, FURIA, ENCE and Hard Legion.
