On September 22, 2021, the eleventh and last Operation Riptide (in English – Operation Riptide) was launched in CS GO. A pass for it cost 1080 rubles. It was possible to enter the operation without a pass, but the trick is that you can't get the earned rewards into your inventory without paying for a pass.
For 16 weeks, players were offered to complete weekly tasks, for which they were rewarded with operation stars. If desired, these stars could be purchased with living money piece by piece or in sets. Gamers had 2 sets to choose from:
-
For 10 stars;
-
For 100 stars.
The developers of the new Operation Predatory Waters in CS:GO made an operation store, where participants could spend their stars on skins from special collections, models of terrorists or special forces, patches on models, as well as on cases and stickers.
All participants who bought a pass were given a bronze medal, which was displayed in their profile. The medal was changed to a silver medal upon reaching 33 stars, a gold – at 66 stars and a diamond – at 100 stars. Only stars earned on missions counted.
Why this operation is needed
Valve's goal in developing the new Operation Predatory Waters is clear: they know the statistics that 69.6% (more than two thirds) of all matches are played on the 3 most popular maps – Mirage, Dust 2 and Inferno. Therefore, Valve is aware of the problem of monotony of Counter Strike gameplay and is trying to make sure that players do not get bored in the familiar scenery of Mirage or Inferno and in the same game modes, for example, Deathmatch or Competitive.
The second thing the developers are interested in is the opportunity to test maps made by enthusiasts from the Stimov community in Operation Predatory Waters, to assess the balance of maps, to look at the reaction of players and to understand whether a particular map can be introduced into the competitive mapper on the professional scene. Most of the cards, of course, aren't going anywhere. The only exception here is Cache, used in dash-1 tournaments. However, the ability to include a card in the operation – is a serious incentive for card creators, because for as long as access to the operation is open (several months), they receive their percentage for the accepted card.
How you could make money from the operation
The most valuable thing that many people participated in the new Operation Predatory Waters in CS:GO for is the weapon colorings collected in the Dust 2 2021, Vertigo 2021 and Mirage 2021 collections. They cannot be knocked out after the end of Predatory Waters, so there are a limited number of these skins on the market. Consequently, the further out, the more their price tag will rise.
The same can be said for the cases from the new Operation Predatory Waters, which cost 2 stars for 1 piece. Due to their natural scarcity after the end of Predatory Waters, it is reasonable not to open the case, but to hold it until the price rises to the value you need and then sell it.
.Another way to earn – purchase cool models «terror» and «cops», which are called Master Agent and cost 25 stars in a special store of the new operation Predatory Waters in CS:GO. What's most interesting is that few people thought that Special Forces models in diving suits would be the most expensive after the operation was over, as they were considered unsightly and out of place , e.g. Captain David «Eyewear» Fernandez or Captain Frank «Wet Socks» Baru. But now they cost about 740 – 860 rubles for one model.
Where to sell what you received during the operation
If you managed to knock out interesting skins, trade stars for a model or just buy a case of the new operation Predatory Waters for a couple of stars, you can come to our trading platform (link to the anchor - https://lis-skins.com/csgo/) and get the money within 5-10 minutes. You can also buy items from the operation here (link to the anchor - https://lis-skins.com/market/csgo/)
We suggest that you do not wait for someone to buy your goods on third-party sites, and immediately fix the profit, because real money in some cases can be much more valuable than items from CS:GO or Stim balance.
Our offer for your item – is about 60% of its market value. No argument, you can say that for items from the new Operation Predatory Waters in CS:GO at another obscure site give 80% or even 90% of their value. Yes, there are such offers, but in these cases there is a very high risk of running into scammers who exploit people's desire to make more money.
In addition, we do not charge players hidden commissions. The final amount you will receive and the amount of the commission can be seen at the application stage.
OperationPredatory Waters Results
Operation Predatory Waters was officially completed on February 22, 2022. Valve allowed to exchange the stars received during the missions for rewards (skins, cases, etc.) until March 27, 2022. In addition, for those who want to get a bronze medal for the operation in their profile there is still an opportunity to buy a pass for 1080 rubles. By the way, those who are investing in CS:GO should calculate whether the price of a pass will increase in the long term and whether you can make money on it.
In addition, changes were made to the mappules of some modes, for example:
.-
Hive and Crete mapps have been added to Wingman mode.
-
Ravine, County, Basalt, Extraction and Insertion 2 were removed from the map pool.
-
In Danger Zone mode the developers included Ember, Vineyard maps.
-
Climb, Iris maps have been added to Deathmatch, Casual and Competitive modes.
When will be the next operation
As soon as the operation Predatory Waters is over, I suppose, many players began to think about when the next operation will be released.
Clearly, there's no point in asking Valve. Developers are interested in intrigue and want to present the news of the new long-awaited operation in such a way as to cause a no-nonsense hype. However, by analyzing the release dates of previous operations, we can make an assumption about when the next DLC in Counter Strike will be released.
So, look, the last new Operation Predatory Waters in CS:GO was released on September 22, 2021. Before that, access to Broken Fang opened on December 4, 2020, and Valve launched Splinter Network on November 19, 2019. See the coincidences?
The previous 3 operations came out in the fall or early winter before New Year's Eve and Christmas. In principle, it is understandable: in summer, the number of players sitting on the servers decreases, as people are attracted by pleasant weather and vacations on the beaches. And when in the fall it rains outside the window, then CS:GO becomes a kind of an outlet and distraction from the nasty weather.
So let's wait for the fall in order to go on a new adventure in the world of CS:GO!
