Natus Vincere were the BLAST Premier Spring Final champions, defeating Vitality by an overwhelming margin. The first map (Mirage) remained for Natus Vincere with the score 16 – 8. On the second (Overpass) Vitality managed to win the first four rounds, but then NAVI reliably retook the initiative, and only lost one round for the remainder of the match, finishing the map with an impressive score difference: 16 – 5.
As a result of the tournament, Alexander «s1mple» Kostylev received his twentieth MVP title, thus becoming the first player to collect such a number of awards in his career. He managed to dislodge Nikolai «device» Ridz, who became the best player of the tournaments 19 times, from the first place. In all the matches he played on BLAST Premier s1mple led not only in rating, which was 1.37, but also in other statistical indicators.
In his post-match commentary, s1mple praised electroNic and sdy for their contribution to the team's success. Despite the fact that NAVI had to adapt to the changes in the line-up in a short period of time, the team was able to demonstrate a high level: «Of course, it is always nice to win a competition, especially when you realize that you only had a week to prepare. Can you imagine we can accomplish more with these players». Also s1mple mentioned that sdy played really well and he hopes he will perform with NAVI at the Cologne major as well.
