Team Natus Vincere, the longtime leader of the HLTV rankings, has dropped out of the top 3. It now ranks only sixth. At the top of the rankings is G2, followed by fnatic and Faze. The gap between the teams remains not too big – relatively calm can feel only the leaders, who are ahead of their nearest rivals by more than a hundred points, while all other teams in the top ten are placed within the next hundred. For example, the difference between NAVI and Astralis, who are in fifth place, is only 12 points.
The main reason why NAVI lost its leading position was its unsuccessful performance at the DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 championship. In some matches she showed even below her average level of play, acting lacking coordination and missing opportunities to win. Coach NAVI noted that such problems often occur when playing online – in LAN-matches to establish interaction between players is much easier.
The next chance to win for Natus Vincere will be participation in BLAST Premier Spring 2020. The team has already beaten Ninjas in Pyjamas in the quarterfinals and now faces a semifinal matchup.
