Team Natus Vincere repeated their success from the IEM Katowice event with a convincing win over Astralis. The match between these two teams became the most popular in the history of ESL Pro League tournaments: the peak number of spectators exceeded 489 thousand. Most people watched the first game of the match when NAVI lost on the Inferno map. At the next two games, the number of spectators decreased but still exceeded 400,000. Natus Vincere emerged victorious on the Dust2and Train maps and thus won the match with a final score of 2-1. Astralis sniper Nikolai «device» Ridtz remarked after the game that today was just «not their day», and Emil «Magisk» Reif considered one of the reasons for the defeat to be weak play in defense.
Egor «Flamie» Vasiliev noted that the victory was a great birthday present for him, which coincided with the match day. Alexander «s1mple» Kostylev, the leader of the winning team, added that flamie has not lost a match that falls on his birthday for the fourth year in a row.
The result of the next game with «born to win» will be known on April 6. They will be going up against a European OG squad. Astralis will also play on this day: the Danes will have to test their strength in a match against Fnatic.
