On the eve of Vitality's first match at BLAST Premier Spring Groups, Emil «Magisk» Reif was interviewed by HLTV, talking about the current mood of the team and the players' immediate plans. Vitality recently made one of the most talked about transfers of recent months: in addition to Magisk, two former Astralis – members Peter «dupreeh» Rasmussen and Danny «zonic» Sørensen joined the team.
Magisk said that from the first days in the new team he was impressed with how focused the players and management are on success. The team is committed to giving cyber athletes all the resources they need to raise their level and win new trophies. Comparing this mindset to the last few months at Astralis, Reif mentioned that the environment was a bit different in the Danish team. Although the players were also eager to win, the team as a whole was more focused not on the current results, but on building a new project that would work in the long term.
Magisk also revealed that the new Vitality squad has been practicing together for about three weeks now. Although communicating during a game in English – is a new experience for the Danes, the language barrier does not pose any serious problems for the players. The team's immediate goal is – to improve their game enough to beat NAVI, although they realize it will take time. Magisk is confident that the members of Vitality have enough talent to make it the best team in the world.
