Lucky leaves the Astralis lineup

Philip «Lucky» Ewald has announced that he plans to leave Astralis after his current contract expires in mid-May. The Danish organization has allowed the young cyber athlete to consider opportunities to continue his career outside the organization.

Lucky has been with Astralis since August 2021, filling the position left vacant by the departure of Nikolai «device» Ridtz, who moved to NIP. Nevertheless, the Danes failed to improve significantly in the second half of 2021, and at the end of the majors in Stockholm they found themselves in 12-14th place.

Lucky remained on the Astralis active roster for six months before being placed on inactive status and his place was taken by Asger «Farlig» Jensen. In his post regarding his decision to leave the team, Lucky noted that he has improved his level during his time with Astralis and is looking forward to applying that knowledge elsewhere. He mentioned that he missed the professional shows and is more eager than ever to perform at a high level to get back to the top. Lucky stressed that he plans to continue to actively develop his career and is open to offers from cybersports organizations interested in working with him.
