Dan «apEX» Madesclair, the leader of the Vitality team, will miss the remaining BLAST Premier Spring Groups matches. This was announced mid-week by team officials. It is possible that the break in performances will eventually continue for him even after the end of the tournament.
Vitality coach Remi «XTQZZZZ» Kuoniam explained that there were several reasons for this, including problems in the team, the global pandemic situation and the personal difficulties apEX faced. As a result, the management of the cyber sports organization decided to leave the player in reserve for an indefinite period of time. However, the coach emphasized that apEX – is an irreplaceable member of the team and they hope he can return to play as soon as possible. According to XTQZZZZZ, «such a statement made at the very beginning of the season may seem strange, but the difficulties of years of tension, the dangers of a global pandemic and personal issues can arise in a player's career at any time».
Vitality has already managed to finish third in this year's BLAST Premier Global Finals, behind only Astralis and Natus Vincere. BLAST's participation in the spring season did not start off so well for her – the team lost to Complexity by a score of 2-0. She will now have to continue her participation in the tournament with a changed lineup.
