OG has announced that thirty-year-old cyber athlete Christian «crisby» Schmitt will be the coach of its new youth team. OG representatives mentioned their intention to assemble a roster of promising players back in mid-February, and that's when the organization began accepting applications from candidates. Two and a half months later, she decided on a head coach. Now he has to form a lineup of over fifty applicants who will have to go through the selection process in the coming weeks.
Crisby is best known for his performances with ALTERNATE aTTaX and Unicorns of Love. Current OG assistant coach Oleksandr «kakafu» Szymanczyk also worked with the latter in 2020-2021. After wrapping up a career as a player that spanned nearly a decade and spanned several disciplines, crisby coached North American Strife, who recently won at Fragadelphia 16.
Commenting on his move to OG, Schmitt said he was grateful to Strife for the opportunity to coach, as it was his first experience in that role, and in doing so, he gained valuable knowledge that he will now be able to apply to his work with OG.
OG management expects that the creation of a youth roster will provide a more solid foundation for the team's development, so that the main roster will show more consistent results. Despite a few successes earlier in the year, OG left IEM Katowice, losing to Heroic and MOUZ, and then failed to qualify for PGL Major Antwerp.
