Finn «karrigan» Andersen of FaZe, which is currently ranked number one in the world rankings, gave an interview to HLTV in which he talked about the strategy that led to the victory in Belgium, as well as the team's future plans. Interestingly, FaZe became the first team with an international composition in the history of the discipline, managed to win a major.
Karrigan noted that a big role in the success of the team played the right attitude, which allowed the team to feel confident enough, but at the same time not to get overconfident, risking to underestimate the opponent. Talking about his own career, the player mentioned that in the past he made the mistake of thinking that winning a major – was the only way to maximize his success in CS: GO, even though it was the trophy that had eluded him for a long time. Having changed his attitude, he decided that he could make other big wins as important as the majors, and this allowed him to ease the psychological pressure and achieve the desired result.
Also karrigan mentioned that FaZe decided that the team decided not to bring their analyst, Vyacheslav «innersh1ne» Britvin, to the competition so that he could have the opportunity to work directly with the coach, Robert «RobbaN» Dahlström.
The player emphasized that, even as a professional player, it is important not to forget that playing should be fun. This helps to keep the presence of mind even when the team faces difficulties in crucial matches.
