The float value significantly affects the price of the skin, this is not surprising: the higher this parameter, the more scuffs and other defects on the weapon body, up to the fact that the pattern becomes faintly distinguishable. As a result, market participants are willing to pay more to get skins in the condition «Straight from the factory» or «After field tests».
But there are also skins that can be called exceptions to the rule: at high wear values their appearance practically does not deteriorate, and some even look more remarkable. A great opportunity to save money for those who are not ready to pay a large sum for skins for CS:GO with low float.
.Sawed-Off Copper
Perhaps the most striking example of such a skin is Sawed-Off Copper. In full accordance with its name, this trim does not contain any flashy decorative elements, and its case is finished with a wood and copper finish. This is probably the only skin with high float variants that can cost more than new ones.
The thing is that as the skin's wear rate increases, its surface doesn't get scratched and scuffed like most weapons. Its texture realistically reproduces the aging of copper with patina formation. As a result, the surface becomes beige, then greenish, and when float approaches one – distinctly green with silvery spots. So it turns out that «Battle-hardened» skin looks much more interesting than the new one.
AWPMortis
Similar changes happen when increasing float and cAWPMortis. The gold and orange that dominate the skin's design darken, becoming more like bronze. All images adorning the skin are retained. It is possible that the darker version of the skin will even seem more attractive to some people.
.M4A1-S Decimator
The M4A1-SDestroyer is also interestingly changed. This skin is decorated with a pattern of different shades of pink and blue colors, and with increasing float it hardly loses any of its appeal. No noticeable scratches or scuffs appear on the pattern, but the surfaces are darkened. Nevertheless, the pattern remains contrasty enough to create a three-dimensional effect, as intended by the skin creators.
FAMASZXSpectron
Almost invariably looks at high float and FAMASZXSpectronFAMAS ZX Spectron, designed in the style of the old personal computer ZXSpectrum. The gray background, on which the design elements are located, is replaced by black, but all details remain distinguishable and even become more contrasting.
