Jamppi has confirmed a move to Valorant

Finnish cyber athlete Elias «Jamppi» Olkkonen has confirmed his intention to move to Valorant. Rumors of his move have been popping up many times recently, and now the player has officially announced his plans to start his career «with a clean slate» in the shooter from Riot Games. On this occasion, he published a video message on his Twitter.

He also commented on his relationship with the cyber sports organization ENCE. He had been playing for it since last year, but was sent to the reserves in January after the team management decided to change the roster and bring in cyber athletes from other countries. «These things happen in cybersport all the time and there's nothing I can do about it," said the player. – I am grateful that ENCE gave me the opportunity to compete against the best for eight months. I always dreamed of competing with the strongest teams, and I could do it».

One of the reasons for the move to Valorant Jamppi said VAC-ban, which prevented him from participating in competitions organized by Valve. At the end of 2019, Jamppi was unable to join the OG roster due to a ban that the player himself considers unfair. He has been suing for the past year trying to get it removed, but has been unsuccessful. He now hopes that moving to a different discipline will allow him to take his game to the next level by getting more opportunities to compete.
