Brazilian cyber athlete Gabriel «Fallen» Toledo has returned to the game after four-plus months of inactivity. He left MIBR in September due to disagreement with the decisions of the team management and spent the rest of the year considering various options to continue his career. Toledo joined Liquid's North American team in January. It is noteworthy that in the new team his role will change: if before he usually took on the functions of in-game leader, now he will be able to concentrate on his own game, while the managing functions will still be performed by Jake «Stewie2K» Yip.
In an interview with HLTV, Gabriel Toledo said that the organization of interaction between players on the team impressed him a lot. He was given the opportunity to share his experience and ideas already in the first training sessions.
Liquid started 2021 with a successful performance: in their first appearance at the Blast Premier Global Final, they defeated NAVI by a significant margin on Inferno and Nuke. Liquid will now face Vitality in the top set of the tournament, while Natus Vincere will soon play an elimination match against Complexity.
