Entropiq have announced that they are putting Alexey «El1an» Gusev up for transfer. Instead of him, Dmitry «SENSEi» Shvorak will play at the closed qualifying stage of ESL Challenger Rotterdam.
El1an and the team management reached an agreement that such a decision was in their mutual interests, and the twenty-three-year-old cyber athlete was sent to inactivation. SENSEi, who will replace him in the upcoming matches, has previously shown promising results with Iron Branch (ranked 89th in the world), playing with an average rating of 1.26 in lower-level European tournaments.
El1an left the Entropiq roster three months after the previous replacement, when Viktor «Lack1» Boldyrev was replaced by Nikolay «mir» Bityukov. Since then, however, Entropiq has failed to achieve any major victories, and its performance at the recent ESL Challenger Melbourne ended in a semi-final defeat to Imperial.
Describing the partnership with El1an, Entropiq CEO Daniel Cloud said that the cyber athlete is undoubtedly a world-class player who has made an undeniable contribution to the team's achievements. He emphasized that the decision was mutual: «We always listen to our players and their wishes. When Alexey offered us this new challenge, we ourselves felt that it was the right time for such a step. We wish Alexey the best of luck and hope he can find a suitable club».
Entropiq's next match at the ESL Challenger Rotterdam closed qualification will be held on Friday, September 16. The team will have to play against fnatic Rising.
