Denmark's Astralis advanced to the grand finals of the European leg of the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown with a two-card victory over NIP. She will now face ENCE on Sunday in a battle for a spot in the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Final tournament.
The first card was Nuke, chosen by Astralis. At first, the two teams were almost level, and by the time the sides changed sides, the score was 7 – 8 in favor of the Danes. In the second half of the card draw, the initiative shifted to Astralis, who won one round after another, increasing the gap. When the score reached 15 – 8, the Swedes were able to take a few points, but they were not able to recover the deficit: the map remained Astralis with a score of 15 – 8.
On the second map (Mirage) the Astralis advantage was even more overwhelming. Already at the beginning of the round, the Danes achieved a 5 – 0 advantage, successfully blocking any actions of the opponent. After that, NIP managed to win back one round, but it didn't fundamentally change anything. The Astralis players' actions remained just as technically flawless. By the time the sides changed sides, the score had reached 14 – 1. After the break, the Danish team completed the card, winning two more rounds without any problems and thus securing their place in the grand finals.
