On the eve of the final stage of the IEM Katowice championship, Danish player Lukas «Bubzkji» Andersen talked about what function he had in the lineup and how Astralis' approach to the expanded roster has changed recently. The tournaments, which took place in December and January, allowed for one player to be substituted during a match, and the team took advantage of this on more than one occasion by having Lukas play in place of Andreas «Xyp9x» Heuslet on the Nuke map.
However, Valve recently published the rules for RMR tournaments in 2021, and among them was a ban on substitutions during a match. Because of this, Astralis had to rethink the very approach to building a six-man roster.
The player commented as follows: «Because of the new restrictions that Valve introduced, we tried to come up with something new. The difference is that now I will not be limited to one map, but will have to perform on several. We have some plans – maybe not for IEM Katowice, but for subsequent tournaments… I think you will see that there is some work for me». Bubzki also mentioned that his position on the map wasn't quite right before, but now his role in the game will change so that he can better prove himself.
