Aleksib and XTQZZZZ move to G2.

G2, currently ranked third in the world rankings, has announced the signing of two European players: Finnish cyber athlete Aleksi «Aleksib» Virolainen will serve as ingame leader, while Frenchman Remy «XTQZZZZ» will assume head coaching duties.

With the move from OG twenty-four-year-old Aleksib, G2 completes the main roster for the 2022 season. Another notable recent deal for G2 was the appearance of Ilya «m0NESY» Osipov from NAVI Junior, who joined the team this winter.

The most successful period in Aleksib's career was 2018-2019, when he led the Finnish ENCE roster, and now the player expects to repeat the achievements of that time. For OG, where he played before, the last year was rather unsuccessful: it did not win any major tournaments and only managed to make it to the final stages of the playoffs at IEM Summer and ESL Pro League Season 14.

After the PGL Major the team was without a head coach for some time – his functions were temporarily performed by analysts Jan «Swani» Muller. The team will now be trained by Remy «XTQZZZZZ», who made a significant contribution to Vitality's recent rise, but ended his association with the team at the end of 2021.

The new G2 squad will make its first appearance at BLAST Premier Spring Groups in a match to be played on January 28.
